Defend The Sacred Carbs

Once the fiercely independent Lords of the Plains, now obese and needy Wards of the State. Too depressing.

There’s a no-shitter. It matters not where one goes throughout the land and visits with the indians. Most are all double-wide. Very sad. It’s true for the Inuits too.

The government teat is killing them all. Ditto with rampant drug and alcohol addictions. The only ones that are normal are the ones who escaped and are on their own.

Only a small number of full-blooded Indians are left. Most have some measure of European DNA. Spanish, French, English, African, etc. And most on reservations are ingrained with the need for the gov’t check. It is sad.

Nothing says “Guardians of the Environment” like burning old tires!

I now live on the boundary of the credulous Indians, the Naiveaho Reservation, (not to be confused with Queen Latifa’s tribe, the Arapaho), and it’s amazing how may of them could qualify for their own zip code… they’re HUGE!

Pinetop Arizona, J Dub, and I know it’s spelled Navajo, but… it’s ME… is there any way I won’t interject levity into my comment… nope!

Didn’t doubt your spelling, just didn’t recall your ever saying that you lived near the heathens, the Navajos not the Mormons. I’d be somewhere up there too but can’t cut the altitude anymore. The rez and the area around it might be the weirdest place on earth and Holbrook should be the capital.

There are a plethora of heathens around here of both stripes. Didn’t know it when I bought the place, but hey… you play the hand you were dealt, right? I think mormonism is the “islam of the west” as they have new “scriptures”, new “prophet”, 40,000 in southern Utah and northern Az still practice polygamy.

I haven’t had many dealings with them but enough to know that they just ain’t right. Loads of them In Snowflake where they have one of their Hale Bopp landing pad temples and a lot near Benson/St David. Illinois running them off just seems like good sense.

Some, probably all, Southwestern tribes such as the Pima overrepresent the super-efficient fat storage gene that leads to type 2 diabetes. Comes in real handy like if you’re trotting 10 miles a day to snag a few scrawny rabbits and a gopher but not so much if you’re pegged squatting in front of the 42″ inhaling Chef Boyardee. The Messikins are skewed toward the sugah dibeedees too, most likely the ones with Indian blood. Progressives freak out when you into one of their noble red man blogs that dog fighting is common on say, the Apache rez’s and that you’d better not bring let your dog out of the car when visiting a place like the Hopi Mesas. Wild strays will kill it. On the upside, go to Flagstaff and you see a lot of Navajos that run, big with them. Bottom line, they got a bad deal and never bounced back, and at the end of the day are way, way better folks that white liberals, but hey, who isn’t?

I see the truth of Hardnox’s comments daily, as I live on former Cherokee land, and just a bit south of Murphy NC, home of a large Cherokee community (and a spiffy new casino). Have also visited the town of Cherokee, NC, a little farther north. Moochelle’s menu plans apparently never made it to the Cherokee public school cafeterias …. obesity and diabetes are rampant, along with chronic poverty — and the high-carb, chemical-laden diet that goes with it. Unca Democrat Sam saw to it that there’d be no real employment opportunities for the Cherokee who remained on their so-called reservations. Pretty pathetic that selling cigarettes under reduced tax stamps, and pushing casino chips, are the two “careers” that these folks own.
